COMMON FIXED POINT FOR A PAIR OF NON-SELF MAPPINGS IN PARTIAL METRIC SPACES

Abstract

In this paper we prove a common fixed point theorem for a pair of non-self mappings in partial metric spaces. We generalize a theorem by Imdad and Kumar which was proved for metric spaces. We also provide an illustrative example.
