dc.description.abstractIn this paper, we obtain a fi xed point theorem for non-self mappings in partial metric spaces. We make use of the technique by Assad and Kirk who derived fixed point theorems for metrically convex metric spaces. Our results generalize earlier results by Rhoades. An illustrative example is also provided.en_US
