The re-introduction of multiparty politics in Tanzania opened up the political space through political liberalization and led to other developments including the founding of NGOs specifically those that cater to women's needs. In Tanzania, women created NGOs that have seen several legal and constitutional changes in their favor. Tanzania's Land Act is one such legislation.
